We are pleased to invite you to participate in an online training program that will be held in Friday 31st March, 2023 from 10H00 to 12H00 am. This training program is aimed for enhancing teaching skills and providing with the latest tools and techniques to teach more effectively.
The program will be focused on the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method, company collaboration & practical training in Biotechnology teaching: The Finland experience.
The online training will be animated by Dr Päivi Tiiva, lecturer in the forestry discipline at Tampere University of Applied Sciences (TAMK). Her educational background encapsulates BSc in forestry (2000), MSc in Environmental science (2004). She holds a doctoral degree (PhD) in Environmental science (2008). She has worked as a researcher at the University of Eastern Finland (2004-2018), in environmental science, concentrating on climate change effects in boreal ecosystems. She worked as a client advisor at the Finnish Forest Centre (2019-2022). Her main expertise is in the fields of ecology and environmental biology.
